How to divide the authors' fee

Hi,
I published the book 'No Stress Today With PSYCH-K. How to transform stress into vitality, peace and a stress-free fulfilling life' at kip.amazon.com
The book was first published in Dutch and is now being translated in 10 other languages. About these translations I have two different questions:
Can I add this eBook to my authors account? And how could I do this?
  • For the translations of the book in different languages, I'll publish all the eBooks on KDP.
Then I have a question about the author rights. With the translators I have an agreement that they get 33% of the authors rights and I get 67%
How can we divide this authors amount right at the source, that Amazon divides this amount per book that is sold, e.g. by constructing a key that sends the 33% immediately to the translator. I suppose this is possible because there are more books that are written by different authors where the authors rights have to be divided?
I really look forward to answers on these questions!
All the best,
Marina Riemslagh (PhD)

Hi Marina,

You say the Dutch version is already published.
Who holds the right to this version?
Is it you, or the publisher?
If you still hold the rights, you can publish it through Amazon.
If the publisher holds the rights, you can't.
But you can either ask for their permission, or ask them to publish to Amazon on your behalf.
Do be aware though, this version is already published,
so it can't be in KDP Select, not that it really matters, as NL and BE don't have KU (yet).

Author earnings/royalties will only be paid to 1 account by Amazon.
People who publish books/stories with multiple authors,
usually dedicate 1 person to receive all earning, who then divides it.
Your best option here would be to send the other author/translator a copy of your monthly sales report,
count out the share that is his/hers, and send it to them.

Adding books will be done through your Author Central Account.
I'm not sure how it works with books published elsewhere,
but I highly doubt you would be able to add it if it isn't available on Amazon.

You can only publish the book through one account, but can add multiple authors through the contributors tab.
The person publishing will receive all royalties earned, and you can devide them as appropriate later.
