I don't understand the payout works if someone can help me. I put my book on Amazon in October 2017. I have sold over 400 books to date. When I look at what has been paid out to me, it is showing that a direct deposit for $25.00 was paid on Dec. 29th. I don't understand. 1. December 29th has arrived yet....2. Why am I only being paid $25.00 for over 400 book sales? Can someone please help me. Thank you!

I am new to Amazon and was just wondering if anyone knows how the KDP Select fund works? It says that the fund for October is like 19.5 million or something. How much does an Author get per month based on the amount of pages have been read or kindle editions you've sold for the month? I hope this makes sense.
To sum it up, figure you will make under one-half of a penny per page.
Look at my answer to your question in the other forum where you posted it. Read the thread in the Payments forum, "Know your Payments." it will help you.
Yes, it says "paid" right away, but the money isn't sent to the bank until the 29th. "Paid" here just means "processed and pending."
You are only being paid for October sales now, not all your sales. And I'm beginning to doubt you sold 400 books. If you had 400 pages read in October plus some sales of both ebooks and print books, that could easily total $25.
