The sponsored ads have entirely disappeared from my book product pages. Wondering where they're being featured. Anyone else noticed the same?

Yes. What in the world did you do? Who did you upset? It wasn't Jeff, was it?

R,

I just went and checked and mine have gone too, on both UK and Com, yet I know they were there a day or two ago, because I pointed out to Mr E that it was the same person all the time, whose books were being featured.

BUT... I just had a look at my 'collection' page, in other words, the page where I just search for myself by name, and I now have a bunch of different sponsored ads on there, which I never had before. I wouldn't mind, but they're appearing halfway through the list of my books, pushing some of mine to page two!

Cheeky beggars!

Changed my breakfast cereal from cornflakes to shredded wheat this morning. Should have realised it would have wider implications. We spell it Geoff in the more traditional way in the UK. This Americanised deviation from correct spellings is to be frowned upon 😕

I guess it's you that's behind all of our lacking sales then!
Just be glad you didn't step on a butterfly or we'd all be sueing you for thing that might have been!

I once had a work colleague who always introduced her husband as 'Geoff with a G', as though it somehow made him seem more manly!

It just sounded highly bizarre to me!

That's almost like saying Ben with a B, or something similarly silly...

Just as a FYI, the UK sponsored ads are back again this morning, but the Com store ones are still AWOL. J

I'm seeing the .com store sponsored ads back. Note that the size of the icons is now about 80% of the "also read" icon size. In other words, bigger than before.

The large, ridiculous number of scrolls is back, too, however. One of my titles has a carousel with 56 scrolls, of which only about the first 42 work (the rest only show twirling circles for the book entries).

Edit: And on other screens the 80% looks to be 100%. I have complained in the past that showing the "sponsored" ads in a lower icon size makes them look like cheaper alternatives to the "also reads" -- maybe someone at AMS took me seriously.

The sponsored carousel ads were down, and Saturday night is usually my best sales time with those ads. The impressions on my new book stopped, as did sales. The ads are back up right now.

I'm using the promotional credit that so many of us received back from previous ads. Maybe Zon is overloaded with authors using their credits?

Thank you for complaining to them. Must have worked. :)

I like that they're bigger. For a while, they were so tiny that I needed my magnifier glasses.

They're still absent on my book pages. Just also bought and customers viewed features showing. Maybe Amazon's looped into random rotation.

Try clearing your Zon-related cookies. I did that and the ads reappeared (you will have to re-login afterwards.)

You're right. They appear again on my desktop computer, but not on my android, which is synced. The wonders of cyberspace are almost as puzzling as life itself, which largely I've given up puzzling.
