Thanks for the recommendations. Here in Australia, we have no Walmarts. Back to school sales start in December.

I will probably just start from scratch again. Have a vague recollection of how the stories went.

Once again, if you download the easus data recovery you'll get your files back. You can recover up to 2 GB of data for free. I've used it a number of times to retrieve shredded data and it works. I was a pc tech for years and thats the best program available.

It's not old school, it's totally practical! I still email myself copies of my WIP all the time, as well as using a flash drive.

The other bonus of emailing yourself copies, is if (knock on wood) you ever need to prove ownership or have copyright issues, you'll have old, dated versions in your email inbox and sent folders.
