I'm trying to update a book I have on Amazon. I uploaded a new version of a PDF and it keeps selecting No Bleed when my cover and pages have a bleed.

When I try to launch the Preview, it gives me the error "We're sorry. The service or feature you are trying to use is currently unavailable. We're working to solve the problem as quickly as possible. Please try again later."

Also, underneath the bleed / no bleed setting it states "An error occurred. Please check your entries and try again."

If I select no bleed, the preview launches, but it tells me that my cover and chapter title pages extend beyond the border... because it's formatted for a bleed.

Is there something wrong on the back end or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Are you trying to do a paperback? If so you would be wise to do it at CreateSpace (also Amazon).
I think the site is going thru some upgrades. Try a bit later for a digital book.

I'm having the same issue. Have you had any luck in fixing the problem?

I had this problem years ago with a 6x9 trade paperback, with the PDF set at 6x9, and I would get the no bleed response.

I finally changed the PDF of the cover and manuscript to something like 5 7/8s and 8 7/8s and it went through (I don't recall the exact dimensions).

Why are you asking the OP, when Donna has already given him the answer? The OP hasn't come back here, which is fairly standard behavior, I'm sorry to say. E

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook. Each does one thing well and the other thing poorly.)

Good luck! -- NJ
