I don't see a lag on the forum when using my computer. Sometimes it seems slow when I check via cell phone.
Sales wise, December 1st was awful. In one day, my newest novel sank to 180,000+ but eventually it recovered and resumed it's normal ranking around 50,000. So far, this book has been hanging around the top 100 of two fairly competitive categories for almost 2 months now. Hoping the second book will do the same thing. But with Xmas coming, it's a crap shoot.

That doesn't really make me feel any better. I have a number of good friends on your side of the pond, so I'd like to hope that you guys were safe too.
What unsettled times we live in...
We are the target. Where is the question. I live very close to Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) which could be a target. Darn... there goes all those hidden aliens!!!
One of my cousins lost his home in the big California fire. The ashes of his parents were in the home in plastic containers. My aunt had said to me she didn't care what her son did with the ashes. They (my aunt and uncle) got a double dose. Everything was burned, including the home. I wonder if that area could get 'hit' making it a triple-header.
As a species we never seem to stop seeking roads of destruction. Fearful times we live in now. Then I think of my grandparents and all living in the east end of London during the second World War being blitzed nightly with aerial bombardment as the luftwaffe obliterated vast areas. No-one knew if the next delivery would wipe them off the face of the earth. My grandfather was upstairs in his house at the London docklands when a bomb demolished a milk distribution centre nearby. He watched as the bomb shock wave lifted the entire roof of his home away. A long row of houses in the street was blown to pieces as the bombing continued, taking many occupants. Amazingly people just got on with their lives the best they could never knowing on which number the roulette wheel would stop. And so must we.
Apologies. I've gone off topic. But was following the developing theme. Yup, it's been slow for me too.
