It usually takes a day for them to reply.
When they reply, reply TO their message. Do NOT start a new message thread to them.
Note: I would give the reports a day or two to catch up first.
Contacted them for the third time. They respond (Response in my other post on this subject with a verified sales count from 12/3 to 12/15) and they promise me a another definitive sales count tomorrow...via email, not on the report page. If anyone is experiencing problems, have them call you...its easy by clicking contact now, and ask for an estimate sales count from their technical dept. They will oblige and that may alleviate some of the stresses. I do not believe any sales data will be lost, because of the immense data complex they maintain..everything is backed up and tracked multiple times. Diseminating that data is what will take time, also it could be a technical repair or server replacements, upgrades etc..who really knows? Know that the data should not even remotely be able to disappear.
Still, I have spent $700-$800 on targeted advertising on many fronts from November 20th until now, and while I can estimate conversion, I need the kindle sales reports to accurately gauge my targeting...THAT data is too little and too late it seems. It may have been money wasted, or lucky effective ad campaigning but I will never truly know.
my KENP dropped from 12/12-12/27 to Zero. I have never had this long of a period with zero pages read for two book series with a total of 10 books. I have had gaps of 2-3 days but there is usually SOMETHING being read.
I have had advertising during this period and it usually bumps reads and sales...but nothing..
In my last email from KDP, they stated they will contact my on 12/29 after thorough research is done concerning my complaint. My sales have dropped from are still showing nearly 0 with a few sparse sales, but my KDP reads peaks every few days to 350+ page spikes. Meanwhile my Sales rankings go from 300k to 22k without any sales, up and down. My data (Website SEO, Facebook and Google Analytics) show my ads being clicked, a redirect, then another click to a product purchase page. The book cover and price is listed on the first Ad, the reader allows themselves to go to the purchase point and then they don't buy? Hmm, wait so over 800 people, like, love and share my AD for free (verified) They then go to the trouble of seeking the product purchase page (verified) and then DON'T purchase? I mean not even 1%? That makes no sense in marketing, and at least 3%+ would convert for that scenario...so it's statistically improbable. Then KDP verifies I have 77 sales that are not yet reported in Reports. There is a problem. No theft, just a problem that is being addressed and will be corrected, some day...hopefully yesterday.
