I am in MS Word with the Kindle Addin. In Layout, Margins, Custom Margins, I set the gutter to zero. Subsequently, when I "save" after making a change the gutter come back. Does anyone have an answer on how to keep the gutter at zero? Thank you.
If you're trying to make a print book, you have mirrored margins and you most definitely need a gutter, for example about 0.8 if the trim is 9x6. If you're trying to make an e-book, you don't put a gutter in at all. Without knowing exactly what you're doing, we can only guess.
An old thread but still No.1 for a google search of this problem so; did anyone ever figure out why kindle create keeps adding a gutter?
I'm having the same problem. I try to modify the margins (equal etc.) but after a few minutes 'create' notices and re-applies their settings which includes a 9mm gutter, screwing up my image placing in the process.
