I've been unable to complete my paperback set-up for the last 36 hours. I get a warning that the service is unavailable. Is it normal? Kindly assist.

You might consider taking this golden opportunity to go over to CreateSpace to do your paperback.

The only thing to watch for--do NOT let CreateSpace do your e-book for you. Skip that step or say No.

BTW, CreateSpace is also an Amazon company, so they and Amazon play well together.

Go to CreateSpace and use the Guided option, at least for the first two or three books before you master the system. Get a physical proof copy, too, if you are in the US.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook. Each does one thing well and the other thing poorly.)

Good luck! -- NJ
