Hi,

I've just published my first ebook and I'm looking for advice about how to create the author profile which you link to from the Amazon site. When I look at other books I notice that the author's name is often hyperlinked to a profile / photo - any tips on how to do this? With thanks in advance.

Strangely, it's on a different site:

DO exercise some judgment as to what kind of personal information you reveal. I would concentrate on your interests, your areas of expertise and, of course, other books and stories you've written and/or had published. No one needs to know you live alone at 123 Main Street with three cats and a gerbil. Also, that would be an unsafe admission.

As Cynthia says, you need to set up an Author Central account and claim your books. From there you can also set up your profile etc.

But if you want that page to be available on the ,co.uk as well as the .com site, you'll need to set up profiles on both. There are others, but those are the main two for English speakers. (Link below)

Good luck. J

Here's all the AC pages that I know of for now:

USA – https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/landing?
UK – https://authorcentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/landing?
Germany – https://authorcentral.amazon.de/gp/landing?
France – https://authorcentral.amazon.fr/gp/landing?
Japan – https://authorcentral.amazon.co.jp/gp/landing?

Real fun setting it up for foreign languages. I wound up using Google translate to change my author bio back and forth until what came back seemed less like gibberish but who knows what I really said?! Haha.
