Thanks for the opportunity.

As the first in the Two Widows Mystery Series by Pacific Northwest writer, Ruth Ross., Two Widows and the Thrift Store Murders is a humorous and touching tale of murder, mayhem, and great bargains.
Widow Millie Mahoney is a dabbler. She dabbles in all sorts of things: art, writing, politics, and sometimes employment. Unfortunately, nothing captures her attention for long, at least not until she finds herself dabbling in murder.
Millie's mother, Margaret Cisneros is also a widow, but she doesn't dabble like her daughter. Instead, she quilts. She’s also the voice of reason with her occasional efforts to keep Millie on track and the dog out of trouble. But even Margaret can't resist going along on this particular shopping trip.

I appreciate you starting this thread! My name is Jacob Vallance and my first book, a stand-alone novella, is entitled "Failhard".

Benjamin Bains is a musician who spends his utterly enviable existence adrift upon a foggy sea of alcohol and denial. His band is hardly conventional; an outfit filling the microscopic niche provided by souls who "would have wanted" live rock music at their funerals. Such a bizarre choice in type of venue was bound to attract the attention of some less-than-ordinary people, and soon one such girl develops an unhealthy interest in the band, their music, and Ben himself.

This is a blackly comic read.

Greetings, What a great idea! My book is called 'Shelley The Lifeboat Labrador' and is a true story about the writer and his relationship with his Labrador dog on a working Lifeboat Station in the UK. There are some traumatic, fun, and sad times relating to our lives over a period of 12 years in the 70's together when a dog becomes mans best friend. rescues at sea, fundraising and the social life around the station are mentioned in detail. Personal problems are overecome at home with Shelley being there for support! This is my first book and has been on Kindle now for just over a year!

A second one is on it way about a life on the road selling to Veterinary Surgeons in the 60's around the UK and some visits to the American Veterinary Colleges. It will be called 'A Veterinary Tail - Up Hill and Down Dale'. Should be out early 2013.

Wishing you all a nice Festive Break and lets keep the positive comments coming on this 'Community Site'. SHELLEYDOG (Shelley The Lifeboat Labrador ASIN: B006BYDXU8)

Two stories exploit the terrible predicaments faced by humans when they are subjected to extreme situations, inside a war and how some particular circumstances affect people in a way that go beyond the reality as we know. Narratives are a blend of horror and thriller, with a good pint of psychological reactions in the presence of danger.

Thanks for this thread, I've been looking for ways of promoting my first book 'Memories of a Mental nurse'...All about my days in the seventies and eighties working as a psychiatric nurse in a couple of the large old mental hospitals the likes of which have almost all closed down since then.
We really were called Mental nurses in those far off days and although it was hard work, it was often amusing, sometimes sad, but certainly always fulfilling.
I also have a much more somber and much smaller book entitled 'Memories of an Alzheimers night nurse.' The title speaks for itself.
There are three other titles under the author name of Robert Panton, but I'll not bore you anymore.
Thanks for your time and bless you authors one and all!!

Thank you for this opportunity!

If you like reading novels about adult relationships, you'll enjoy reading about Buddy and Ginger Middleton, who alternately tell what happened to them and to their twenty-seven-year marriage. When Buddy, thinking he was inquiring about her job, asks her boss, Avery Laird, what his intentions are while the three of them are having dinner, Laird replies, “I intend to marry your wife.” Ginger doesn’t take this seriously; however, Buddy isn’t sure. Soon after, a friend of Buddy’s with whom he played baseball comes for a visit and tells Ginger the true reason Buddy quit. Then their lives begin to unravel.

Thanks for this thread! If you like darker fantasy novels, please check out the first in our series, Annwyn's Blood - Book One in the Paladin of Shadow Chronicles!

Amid the dying embers of a fallen Empire, a young knight embarks on a personal crusade to reclaim the soul ripped from him by a deceitful lover's bite, and to save his family and their world from the rage of the implacable god who sent her. Ancient magic awakens from centuries–old slumber as the dead no longer rest in peace, and long buried legends and secrets could be the world's only hope.

My first ebook is on the subject of this nation's founding fathers' beliefs on religion. The description below pretty well sums it up --

Throughout this nation many people are convinced that the United States has to be a Christian nation and that it’s Founding Fathers wanted it that way. This book shows what many of the Founding Fathers really said about religion, Christianity, and the Bible. It would surprise and even shock most people, Christian and non-Christian alike to learn that:

Thomas Jefferson, who became the third president of the United States, compared the sayings of Jesus in the New Testament to diamonds in a dunghill. He also likened the teaching of Jesus being born from a virgin to a pagan Roman myth about a goddess being conceived in the brain of a god.

Thomas Paine, who inspired American revolutionaries with his writings, said that the Bible was stupid, Christianity repugnant, and the Old Testament might as well be the word of a demon.

John Adams, who became the second president of the United States, wrote that the belief that Jesus came down to earth to be crucified - Christianity’s most sacred teaching - was an “awful blasphemy” to the “great Principle” of creation that had to be eliminated or “there never will be any liberal science in the world.”

3300 words with quotes and photo-images of manuscripts which are linked to their original sources to show the full context of what the Founding Fathers said. $2.99.
