If all my dreams come true--or if even just my modest dreams come true--this winter I will have to pay some taxes.
Do any of you work with a bookkeeper to handle those things for you? Or a CPA for the taxes? Remembering that I am pathologically cheap, at what point is paying someone to do your taxes or help with bookkeeping things worth the time?
The same question can also be applied to hiring a housekeeper. ; ) How much should I be earning before I do that... ; D
I have a friend who is a bookkeeper and tax guy and I'd like to give him my business, but on the other hand I don't want to give him my business if I can handle it myself just as easily. (I do do my own taxes right now and it is a breeze, even with last years 1099's)
I'm doing my own book keeping but from what I can gather it's a little easier here in the Uk, also I worked for three years as a junior in accounts offices so I actually have some idea what the jargon actually means.
I will get someone else to do it for me when it gets to the point that I'm earning the spare because it's just easier peace of mind to let someone else worry if it's right.
