I have two novels published and both were on sale for $0.99 for the last couple weeks. Now I'm ready to bring the price back up to $2.99, so I changed them both on KDP and it worked. Both show $2.99 on my KDP Bookshelf. However, when I go look at my books on Amazon, one is showing the correct $2.99 price but the other is still showing the $0.99 price! Why? Why does Amazon still show $0.99 even though KDP shows it at $2.99. It's for sale on other places, like Nook and D2D, but I'm pretty sure I've changed them all back to $2.99. So, anyone know what the deal is?! Thanks.
If they're still on sale for $.99 elsewhere, amazon will match that price. I suggest checking the other sites first because that's the likeliest explanation for the price showing on amazon. When I made price changes they always showed up quickly.
Price matching is not an instant thing. If you lower your price elsewhere, it is totally up to Amazon if they will match it and for how long. It can get "stuck" for months and that's just the risk you take with that process.
