A hard-hitting, yet poetic, collection of short stories laced with dark humour and wry social observation. A vivid cast of characters are brought to life in tales of lives on the margins, from the frustrated and disaffected of London flat shares and menial jobs, to the joy of clubland and football miracles, demented dogs and underground voices.
"Jimmy Wilde's writing is as crisp as Raymond Carver's having, refreshingly, more in common with the American short story than with the turgid canon of the British short story."
Wade Riley’s dream of country music stardom is about to come true: Theo Sweet—a rich businessman with connections in Nashville—has taken a liking to him. But before the dream can fully materialize, the sinister reality of his benefactor’s bizarre private life forces Wade to choose between the fame and fortune he covets and the well-being of Theo Sweet’s beautiful daughter Mara, whose Zen-like utterances may be genuine expressions of wisdom and affection, or merely the deceptive and spurious by-product of the schizophrenia that so tragically haunts her. Accompanied into the dark underworld of the rich and the insane by an ex-college-football-sensation-turned-philosopher, Mara’s fiery stepmother, and a legendary bluesman, Wade writes a country ballad that’s sure to send readers reaching for a Bible, a bottle, or both.
The story starts in Seattle on October 1st, 2010. A family of three were found murdered in their home. Homicide Detective Richard Holcomb is assigned to the case. However, it quickly becomes more that just your average serial killer case. The killer, known only as Jack "The Ripper", challenges Richard directly, putting his own family at risk.
I would put a description for book 2, but that would incline for spoilers.
Like a number of others, my suspense novels just seem to be sitting there, although readers and reviewers generallly love them.

I lost both books when my computer crashed several years ago and can't find the backups.
I have the copyrights reverted to me and would like to post on Kindle but don't have an electronic copy. Were you able to obtain one from your publisher or were you smarter than me and kept your backups? firstname.lastname@example.org
This is my first novel now on Kindle. My reviews have been great from my friends and so far one from someone that sounds like he knows what he is talking about. He pointed out that my editing was poor and I agree. I edited myself, not a good job. Although, he did like the book and said he was "hooked". Mystery, action, romance.
I would appreciate you avid readers out there to preview the book and offer an honest opinion. Much appreciated. Also, it appears that writing a series may be the way to go? I offered this one for free on Kindle, 1300+ free downloads and I agree, doesn't do much for the bottom line. Wet the appetite with one and write several more?

Just had my first novel accepted and published on KIndle - The Silence and the Tears. It languished for years in a drawer, though I had a few kind comments from traditional publishers, even a really nice one from a literary agent, so now I have set it free on Amazon. If you're a fan of time travel stories please check it out. Power to all your pens!
