There are very many 'picture books' out there...

I did a "Proof of concept" thing using word to be for the Kindle in landscape mode

The problem with Picture books is that they eat up a lot of space

a single image can be as much as 50 pages of text!

You have to be thrifty in the image size and when you cut the image size down, the quality suffers!

Most books shoot for images supported by text.

I just created on last week. It is under the title of "Surviving The Family" or you can just type in "Shaun Hoilett".
As the previous commenter said it does eat up a lot of space. My book for example is about 70 pages and even with the compression feature of MS word I was only able to get it down to approx 23MB. But that is still better than the 80 plus MB of the orignal document. The quality of the images were still very very good. You can see one of the images on the TOC page.
I suspect one problem with picture books is that people may not want to use up all their MB to dowload one book, especially if they have limited amounts of MB's each month. If you ever put up your book. Let me know so I can check it out.
