Trying to publish the paperback of my book and this error comes up every time I click publish, but there are 0 highlighted errors on the 3 tabs Paperback Detail,Paperback Content,Paperback Pricing...

This is really infuriating, has anyone else come across this and found a way around it?

Sounds like the Print Beta computer is having a wobble. I can only suggest using the contact us link at the bottom of the page. However, the folk who will respond will not be the ones who are needed to fix a problem. They are probably getting ready for New Year festivities. :(

Afterthought: The error is probably on the last page as it doesn't (in my experience) let you go to the next page until any errors are fixed, so if you are on page 3 then 2 and 1 should be clear. However, there isn't much on the last page other than territories and pricing. You could check all the individual territory prices and of course ensure you have not set a price below the minimum.

They're all above the pricing for each region, and they're not highlighted.

KDP Print Beta was rolled out at the end of September. The process was buggy, and it remains so to this day. I suspect the quality of the books that actually go on sale is rather low. (I'd be glad of any pointers to a KDP Print Beta paperback.) Its sole advantage is that the author-publisher gets to see his or her paperback sales on the same page as the Kindle sales. But really, how big an advantage is that? How many seconds does it take, really, to check one's sales on Createspace--ten seconds, thirty seconds?

In exchange, you get that buggy publishing process, no physical proof copy, no discounted author copies for gift or resale, and no distribution to Barnes & Noble or to brick-and-mortar bookstores. (Most small bookstores will, as a favor to a customer and perhaps a small surcharge, order a Createspace or IngramSpark paperback.)

My advice is to stick with CreateSpace with its excellent cover wizard, helpful community forum, and direct-to-author discounted sales.

Good luck! -- NJ

Wow really appreciate that response Notjohn. I was actually thrown off by the whole KDP option, as I started on Creatspace but as I was going down the list of things to complete in Createspace it eventually brought me over to KDP where it seemed like I had to re-due everything I had just done on createspace... but on a separate platform, it just seems odd to me and not efficient. If KDP isn't really necessary then I would much prefer to stick to Creatspace as I've had nothing but issues with the KDP platform, from my bookcover suddenly being a different size, to text not aligning the same to not even being able to publish the papercopy.

Did you maybe miss the box where you click to agree to Terms of Service? That one's fooled me once or twice.

That is checked, I've literally gone over each of the three tabs about as thorough as one can be while only looking a little psychotically obsessive.. At this point I'm quite certain it's just bugged.

How about "Contributors"? You have to list at least one person, usually yourself as Author. (I know you've been over it multiple times, I'm throwing out ideas where I know others have slipped up.)

Hi Jake ... I realize this is a few days later, but I had the same issue and was disappointed the only solution available was to recreate my book on CreateSpace. It's been a tough week of editing already (for my first book ever ... so completely inexperienced), so I was not looking forward to creating another version for editing. Anyhow, I was able to submit my paperback on Amazon today. In case this helps, here is how I resolved it: I purchased my ISBN separately on Bowker, but didn't know what "Imprint" below the ISBN meant. It was asking for my imprint from Bowker, which was found on my profile page. They also explain what an imprint is if you need it. Once I matched this to the Bowker imprint they assigned me (my name), I was able to submit! I hope this helps you as well.

As a fan of this Beta program, you just need to know what to do with it. Even CS was hard for beginners. But as we learn how to go with it, it became familiar and easy.
Now, since I have been using this tool a lot. I think I may suggest a few things.

You don't see errors in the 3 tabs. You see them in the Online Interior Priviewer or Digital Previewer, and this is under content the second tab. After you upload the book content, and upload or create the cover, you will now come to the level where you have to preview the book online before you publish. This is the longest and tedious level where you need patience. It sometimes says "Maybe is time to grab some coffee".

Yes, in the digital preview, you can see errors and then fix them. Sometimes, you can just download the Word document of your book, which is fixed automatically for you, based on the book size you have chosen in the process. But, sometimes if your book size is bigger than 300 pages, it may not fix itself automatically. You may have to follow the trim sizes suggested on the screen to fix it offline, and then try again.

It depends. KDP is necessary for some for their own reasons. But as you said, if it does not work for you, it is much better you use the familiar one--CS.
For me, there are still some minor differences between CS and KDP paperback creation tools. In CS you have a place for a publisher's logo, but not yet in KDP. CS fixes my book sizes automatically, but KDP is having trouble with this, but it does fix the sizes sometimes, depending on the book size.

Yeah. So is the problem fixed?
I did not understand the issue the first time I responded, because there are different errors.
But it actually happened to me later on, that it asked me to fix errors when there was none indicated/highlighted.

This was just outside the Print Previewer, and I now know this is what happened to you.
I fixed mine, or rather it fixed itself! :)

I think the system logged me out, or my network was the cause.

I am having exactly the same problem. It is confusing because I have been through this process a couple of times before when I had to make changes. And now this time, I'm getting the same error as in the thread title. In looking through the responses, I didn't see anything concrete to do to remedy the situation; it looked like it 'worked itself out.' Did I miss an obvious solution?

Thanks.
