I found it. The title was never entered . It just said Title 1. I changed it and now it is listed in the store under its title. Thanks for checking.

Some books seem to get stuck. What can I do about that?

When I try to update a long book to improve the format (in response to customer reviews), sometimes the new version gets stuck in the process. They load and preview fine and then the "publish" function seems to work. But the book never goes Live.
The book appears in the catalogue with the notice "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available." And it never becomes available.
For instance, I had that problem with Whitman's Leaves of Grass ASIN B001216CJO
There's no way to cancel and try again. So, in frustration, Iksometimes the same book a second time. I did that with Leaves of Grass and now, several weeks later, the new version shows up with the same reviews the original had. So all is well. But the original one still appears with the "sign up to be notified..." message.
Am I handling this the right way? Is there an alternative?
Thank you.

My items has been pending for a week. Please respond to this concern and do not say it will be posted within 12 to 72 hours. This has not happened with my item.

Some uploads just take longer seems like a non-answer. Isn't there some explanation--like a glitch and the content should be re-submitted?

Yes, I have a similar problem--an inept uploade to Mobipocket somehow made it over to Amazon, despite the fact that the Mobi edition is not activated and does not show on the Mobi catalog, and also despite the fact that Amazon.com is unselected from my list of retailers for the Mobi edition. I have emailed DTP Admin asking them to remove the failed-up version, but so far it's still there.

Hello,

We cannot remove content moved from Mobipocket. Please contact digitalrights@amazon.com for Mobi-related issues.

Thank you.

Just to toss my hat into the ring for "please help push it through the pipeline". I'm waiting to see how GUD Issue 0 looks (and performs) before publishing Issues 1 and 2.

ASIN: B001994430

If there's something I could do to make the process smoother next time, I'd love to know. :)

About two dozen of my books are still stuck (were "published" more than a week ago and still aren't "live"). They are in my account seamonkey2@samizdat.com
What can I/should I do?

Thank you.

richard -

you're not alone: my book finally got kicked into "ready" status after being in publishing status for a week. then i made a small change and published it tuesday or wednesday, and it's still sitting in "publishing" mode. i sent DTP admin an email about it, hopefully it'll get kicked into "live" at some point before i wither from old age! ;-)

cheers,
mike

So, after reading these messages, I'm concluding that the content will be published sometime. My concern there is a problem I don't know about with what I uploaded.

Just to make life more interesting, the "pending" GUD Magazine Issue 0 was just moved back to "ready" (versus "published") with no other commentary...

I hit "publish" again and hopefully haven't screwed anything up with that... It was listed as "not yet available" still under its ASIN.

Absurd much? :)

Oy. :) All this just to test the system, and then I have to do Issues 1, 2, and (by the time all that gets sorted out) 3 and maybe 4.

Hello,

there is an existing issue that is proving hard to completely fix which causes some content to appear in the Amazon catalog as "Not Yet Available."

Every week or so we try to make sure those 'Publishing' titles are fixed and moved to where they can be bought, but unfortunately there is no real solution yet. However, it is being worked on.
