Amazon's KDP transaction report for Zettabyte Networks Limited for March 2012 reports $223.31 as my royalty payment associated with amazon.com in USD. However my USD check received from Amazon Digital Services Inc (Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.) was only for $156.30
Do you know why this discrepancy exists? Is it a processing error? Can you explain how I can obtain payment for the full amount?
ps. Zettabyte Networks Limited is a UK based Limited Company.
Your link was helpful. It informs me of the process that I need to go through to make me happy!
But I am still lost as to why:
1. Zettabyte Networks Limited is a UK limited company.
2. Royalties from Amazon.com are subject to US Tax laws, as varied by tax treaties with other countries (which Amazon knows includes the UK!).
3. That there exists and Amazon and the US and UK Governments know that there exists a tax treaty between the US and the UK.
4. That AUTOMATICALLY the royalties of of Zettabyte Networks Limited should subject to the tax treaty between the US and UK and be exempt from US taxes!
Can you please explain why Amazon has not automated this process. It smacks of the worst elements of Government taxation beaurocracy!
