KDP Reports stuck?

Hi everyone,
My Reports for paid unit sales have been static for about a week. In the last few months they seemed to tick along at a few a day in the uk market particularly. Perhaps just nobody is buying the books! I wonder if anyone else has seen a similar thing since the beginning of June?

Curious

I've just the same problem. Since the first week of june, the sales decreases every day a litle bit. Now sales are frozen!!!

Yep, they've taken a nose dive. I would blame the free books but the free promo I just ran attracted about 20% of the 'sales' that I got in February through a free promo. Maybe Kindle use has slowed.

Sales usually pick up at the end and the begining of a month, they trail off in the middle and appear to sell best at lunch time, middile of the night, i.e. between 2am and 8am UK time and at weekends. Interesting trends.

It's the same for me. Sales for my new book, published in mid April, were not huge, but they were steady - at least one or two every day with US / UK sales running at about 2 / 1. Then it was like someone pressed an off switch. I've had no sales at all in the US in June and only one in the UK.

I ran a free promo day last weekend to try to kick start the sales, but the totals downloaded, despite intensive promotion on Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc amounted to only about 20% of the first free promo day I did in April for which I did no blogging at all. And there's been no sales since then either.

It's seriously depressing. I now just want to get to the end of the KDP three-month period, so I can start marketing it with Smashwords and get it on to the other readers.

My sales are suddenly nonexistent, particularly the last two days. I've even noticed the same thing on Createspace the past few days. I have a lot of books out there, so I'm always getting some sales coming in, but the past two days, virtually nothing at all.

It's gotta be a glitch.

Sales are not always predictable and unless you've been doing this for more than five years, results from last year or last month cannot accurately predict what will happen this month.

My sales in both CS and KDP move ahead each day. Some days more than others. It is the nature of the process.

You should also keep in mind that generally as more people self-pub books the fewer individual sales per title will drop.

To be frank, most self-pub books are self-pub because they are not very good. After a buyer is burnt by too many bad $3 books, they won't buy any more. It is a simple matter of quality.

This is not to say your books are bad - only that your books may carry the stigma of someone else's bad book.

Some good points there, but I've been publishing on KDP for 2 years now. I have 150 ebooks and each day there are always some sales out of that many books. Yesterday and today there has virtually been nothing and that is highly unusual. 2 days ago I sold 20 books on Createspace and only one in 2 days since then.

I don't think they are stuck. I bought a friend's book today and it reported immediately. I sold two books yesterday and the reports showed it.

I think that the sales are down due to the influx of freebies.

I'm the new guy here having just published my new book, "Hemingway, Memories of Les," on June 12. I notice that the sales totals seem to lag reality. I have witnessed people buy my book through Amazon and counted the total, which turns out to be quite lower than that reported to date on the Amazon Report section.
What gives? Are these figures always lagging or is somebody giving me a hosing?
I would appreciate any advice from someone knowledgable .
