I read on this forum on old thread that Amazon has a surcharge of $2 for books published outside of the US, well I live in Asia. I set my price at $2.99, but it has been changed to $4.99, which I guess is the $2 surcharge. Ok, fair enough, but my question is, is that extra $2 pure profit for Amazon or do I get a %?
If I want to sell my book at $2.99, then will I have to set my price at $0.99? Therefore, will this mean that my royalty will be 35% instead of 70% if I set my price below $2.99?
