Hi, can anyone explain to me how long to wait till I can expect to receive royalties from Amazon US? I reached over $100 by my March report but have yet to receive a check. I am a British resident and Amazon have my correct address details. Thanks

In the Help Section, it states that payments are issued 2 months (60 days more precise) after the end of the month which accrued royalties.

I interpret that to mean that if by March 31st, you were to have $100, Amazon wouldn't release payment until end of May.

I, too, am having the same problem with not yet receiving payment. However, it seems this is a big issue at the moment. I'll wait another week before contacting Amazon about this, but you should do so right away.

Three months for payment is not in the terms nor is it, in my opinion, acceptable.

All the best,

Anethea

Okay, I also just read that in your account page, your TAX NAME must be the name you have on your bank account--and not your author's name.

Otherwise, payment may have been sent and rejected by your bank if the payee's name doesn't match the account name.

Hope this helps!

I had the same question regarding payments from amazon uk. I'd been earning more than $50.00 per royalty period but I wasn't getting payment in my regular royalty applied to my bank account. I got a paper cheque at the end of May with all my earnings from amazon uk for the past six months. Maybe this is the method Amazon uses for international sales. I wasn't aware of this before, but all of my sales were accounted for in this one cheque. I hope this helps you.

I agree that it says your royalties have to have reached 100 dollars and they take two calendar months to then send you a cheque. My only response is "blimey!" I am sure they are putting your money to good use in that time though :)
