It would be so much better if reviews left on Kindle US also showed up on the UK and EU stores. Got a brilliant review on the US site, but it only appears at the bottom of the page in the UK - doesn't affect the star rating.
A reader is a reader, whichever country they're in.
I've noticed a few attempts to divide the US and UK readership. Like sending out a newsletter to UK Kindle users only linking to US product pages. Once there, the link to the UK site is totally generic, it doesn't match up to the product. This assumes UK customers want to spend their time searching through the site for the same product you originally told them about.
Really gives UK customers the sense that they're second-class.
Wouldn't have thought that would be in Amazon's best interests, given the exchange rate.
Most review are fake, bought, from friends, haters, etc. amazon should just do away with tnem. But amazon has bought a good many of the top writers book rights and then give them enough reviews to keep them high in the ratings. They take the 5* from others.
