I started with a word doc and bookmarked a "start" location and used the section page breaks. I all worked fine when using the previewer but now that the book is published, it starts at the cover and has no page breaks at all. Do I have to set separate divisions
in the html for the published book to page or find the start??? Please help.

On what device or app are you reading the published book?

on the "click to look inside" it displays starting with the cover and then has no page breaks - when I tested on the Kindle Previewer, it opened at the Prologue and paged back and forth just fine

Right. Page breaks don't show on Look Inside. Covers are unpredictable, in my recent experience.

I would suggest that you BUY a copy and actually look at it on a Kindle device. They start at $79.

ok, obviously I'm new here and trying to get my book out there. I do already have both a kindle and a fire.

Many high selling books do start at Chapter 1 on the "Look Inside" which is important when trying to sell your book. You're right, they still don't page but it's not such an issue as when you are paging through all the front stuff.

Please help. Computers are very predictable if you know the logic used. There must be a key to having the "look inside" start at the place bookmarked as the start?

I have
*div id="start" class=newdiv style="page-break-before: always" and *h2>*a name=start>*a/>Prologue*/h2
at the beginning of the prologue but I must be doing something wrong.

Thanks for any help.
