White Space Around Embedded Cover Image In Previewer

I just uploaded a cover image of 1560x2500 in Kindle's Previewer. I know that Kindle will automatically resize the image for the thumbnail and how it appears as an embedded image in the book.

However, the embedded image as the internal cover has white space around it in the Previewer. Is this normal and just a function of Previewer? Will it appear this way when the book is published?

Any assistance is appreciated.

It should be in full-screen mode when you set the "Devices" menu to "Kindle Touch" (Kindle Previewer 2.5). With the "Devices" menu set to "Kindle" there are margins around the cover in Kindle Previewer, but I know for a fact that the embedded cover works as a full-screen image on Kindle and Kindle Keyboard (if the width to height ratio of your image is 3:4). The absolute majority of Kindle devices have a screen 600 x 800 pixels, so I would recommend uploading your cover as a JPEG 600 x 800 pixels.

There are many bugs in Kindle Previewer, so never mind this little problem and go ahead and publish your ebook.
