Hi Tony,

If you followed the rule of entry, which was quite simple, then have no doubt that you're in.

"The Kindle Storyteller prize is open to submissions of new English Language books from all authors and genres, and entries must be submitted using Kindle Direct Publishing with the exact phrase “StorytellerUK2017” (no need to include the quote marks) in the ‘keywords’ metadata field when the title is enrolled. Titles must be previously unpublished and a minimum of 5,000 words with no upper word limit. Kindle Storyteller opens for entries on 20th of February and titles must be entered into the KDP Select programme during the entry period to be considered."

What is this about? It is this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/b?node=12061299031

I hope it doesn't get modded.

Blessings,

Angelin

Hi Tony,

Check your metadata to make sure. If you followed the rule for submission, there is no reason you're not in the Competition.

I actually gave a longer response with a link to the competition, but it got modded. It might appear later.

Angelin

Hi Thomas,

It is open to all.

Google Amazon UK Storyteller Competition and it will appear. Each time I attach a link, it gets modded, so it's up to each one to search it.

Hi,

As I know it (I'm open to correction myself), the metadata field is where you put the title, the sub-title, author information and categories in. Basically, it is the first stage of the publishing process.

I also intend to join the competition. I'm going to put the phrase in the subtitle. I could be wrong, so please don't follow me. It would become a situation of the blind leading the blind.

There are smart people here who would tell us if we're doing something wrong.

Sorry, Tony. I got modded again. It doesn't like my answer.

My recommendation is for you to search the forum for "metadata" and learn all you can this way.

I missed the bit about the keywords when I launched my book. I hope by including now it will be okay.

Thank you for clarifying.
