I've been watching for mine to show up in the list of entries. For the last four days, the total number has been stuck at 345. I published my book (ebook and kdp printed version) on Feb 24 knowing nothing about this contest. When I got the notice over a month later, I went back and added the required keyword to both the ebook and printed version. So far, it's been 6 days and mine is not listed. Amazon should really update people with useful information.

Feedback on another thread on this topic states that Createspace paperbooks are not eligible and paperback must be created by KDP.

Please remember this Easter weekend may have slowed down select process for competition but normally, amazon say, within 72hours of release a valid entry should appear on 'storyteller' pages.

If yours isn't being listed you may have to check small print to find any reason for it not being eligble.

Good luck.

I've submitted my book following the guidelines 100 % and still, after several weeks, do not see it in the list of entrants. I honestly have no idea why.

What strikes me as odd is that beneath every entrant, it is stated "This title is available to UK customers only." Does it mean we need to select Amazon.uk only as marketplace?

It means the system recognizes that your computer's IP address is located somewhere other than the UK. If you have access to a VPN server in the UK, switching to that will bring up the version of the page with the buy buttons. So it really just means that only UK customers can buy from that site.

Hi Denise,
I looked at this issue too and by examining the books already entered into the competition, I noticed the paperback versions of these are published by many publishers, including Createspace.
I entered my book, (with the Createspace paperback version) and it went through with no problems. It is now listed as an entry.
Hope this helps

Thanks Pearl, but that's not my problem. I created my paperback in KDP and it didn't show.

Hi Denise,

it seems the website gets updated in bulk, because there are now over 900 entries after it was on 345 for days. So you might want to check again.

Strangely my book is there as well now, even though less than a day ago I was told it was not eligible because it was published through CS... I start to get the feeling Amazon doesn't know how their own competition works o_O

Thank you Sina. Yes my book is now there - so chuffed. I did put on another thread that CS not allowed and someone came back to tell me that their paperback was CS and in the competition. I'm pleased that yours is through too. I feel I have really had to jump though hoops to just get to this point!

Good luck.

Does anyone know when in July the ceremony will be? (I realize I'm being very optimistic by even asking this question!) I read through everything, but couldn't find an actual date.

I have a book that meets the requirements that hasn't been entered. I contacted KDP help, and they told me it was eligible but for some reason, it wasn't showing in their system or on the page. They asked me to give them until May 5th, and then if it still wasn't to contact them again. THIS is so frustrating!!!! If you still don't see it, go into your KDP and select contact, KDP, then other.

Is there any way of checking whether my books has been entered. I am quite certain that I complied with all the requirements and included the keyword when publishing?

Sina, can you tell me how you contacted Amazon to query - I can't see any means to ask them whether my submission was ot eligible for the competition. The book is available and has sold over 100 copies since publication on 30 April, but it doesn't appear amongst the Storyteller lot.
