I sold 50 books so far in about 3 months, I just got a review trashing it. Makes me feel like dirt. The 49 other people who looked at it didn't return it or negatively review it. Does that mean that they liked it?

We have to think that way since we will never know. Sorry about the negative review. That is exactly why I never whine about not getting any. I had two on one best selling book, and it ruined my 4.5 star review average and sales dropped. But, yes, you must assume your book was well received.

I measure if people like my book by how many of my other books show up in the "other books people who bought this book bought" section

Me too. Most people won't "interact" by reviewing / contacting the author or whatever, but if they like the book they'll buy your others. When the "what people also buy" and "what people buy next" lists show my other books, I'm happy
