Hi, just a question if anyone can help me. I am trying to create a paperback using KDP for the first time. I've used Createspace for all my other books, two of them over 400 pages, the other over 700 pages. But I've written my first short story and thought I'd try KDP for the first time. But I keep getting this message and I've tried everything to fix it over the past two hours without success...Help..

"We have detected that your screen size is less than 1200px by 600px. We suggest resizing your window or using a device with a larger viewport."

I've read through the KDP printing guidelines but I can't make sense of fixing this problem. Has anyone else come across this?

Thanks :-)

I think they are talking about what you are using to view things with ("device with a larger viewport").

Oh okay. I'm on my computer, its got quite a small screen. I've just downloaded one of their templates and made one minor change in the page setup. Plus I'm uploading it as a Web Page -Filtered as they recommend. I'll try again. Boy, this is harder than Createspace...

Thanks for replying. I watch these threads all the time and thanks to people like you :-) who take the time to reply, I've learned so much.

Cheers!

Keep in mind that the beta book program has quirks and you will lose some options for things that you CAN get at CreateSpace.

All sorted! After all this time it's worked. Thanks so much - it was a screen size!

For a paperback? Good grief, no, unless KDP Print has got some sauce with strange pharmaceuticals in it. Upload a PDF of the formatted book.

Why in the world have you given up a platform that works for one that can lead you so far astray?

Good luck! -- NJ

Yes thank you. I saw the error of my ways. I fixed this earlier. As you can see I obviously had major brain fade :-)
