Does anyone feel like taking a look inside the pages and giving me an honest view of my writing. It's okay even if you want to tell me to keep my day job. "Greya the Great and other tails" or "Kilmore Trout" either one. I would be forever grateful Thanks.

I took a quick look, Don. Your cat stories are very cute. I'm not even sure they are really children's stories, although they could certainly be read or told to children. The vocabulary isn't really a grade-schooler's vocabulary. You've got some missing commas and a dangling modifier in the first few pages ("Squirming out of his hands, he dropped me"), but overall your writing seems fine.

The Trout book doesn't seem to work as well. Partly it's that it's just straight narration. If it's supposed to be humorous, the humor isn't as clear (and good natured) as the cat stories. Vonnegut is hard to do right. He couldn't even always do so himself.

You have however certainly sold at least some books, because you've got a decent ranking. So you're already better off than most KDP authors.

Given that your Greyda stories aren't really children's stories, you may not really need illustrations, or maybe just a few here and there. You could however use better covers. You've used the Cover Creator, and while it's there so authors don't just have a blank cover, it sort of makes your books look very generic. Try googling remade covers and see if you can find some good ones for not a lot of money. Once you have a good cover, you might consider a print version of the cat stories. Then do things like do Story Time at your local library and see if you can hand sell some copies.

You seem to have reviewed your own cat stories book. This will worry and disturb potential readers. So I recommend removing that review.

Keep your day job! Out of the million or so KDP authors, less than 1% of them make $50,000 a year or more, the rough US median household income. Most of them also write romance, by far the biggest seller of KDP ebooks. But making a book as good as you can make it and having strangers buy and enjoy it is great in itself. Good luck!

Thank you, you really took some time to look and I'm thankful. I'll fix the review, you right bad move on my part. I'll also take into consideration everything else you said. Again thank you.
