Wrong! You are thinking negatively. If you bundled two more novellas, it would thrill your readers that you had NEW STORIES to tell, and at a lower overall cost-per-story than previously. You would not 'alienate' them, they would gladly pay to get more.

If we're going to talk about greed, let's talk about Amazon's greed. They tell indies to bend over and take it. Amazon says "jump!" and indies ask "how high?"

Amazon is what it is, but I don't think you rolling out yet another explicit image helps much.

If I'm going to give customers discounts, I'm going to do so on my own website. Why should I give out discounts when Amazon itself is not so generous? Taking a 30% cut plus a bogus delivery fee for doing almost nothing. And if it wasn't for Apple, they would take 65% like they did back in 2007-2010~. And a 65% cut for titles under $2.99. I am thinking of selling my book at a discount for litecoin instead of PayPal so that Amazon can't price match it (I'm aware that Amazon bots scour the internet to find evidence of cheaper copies and then match. Good luck price matching something price listed in crypto-currency). Crypto-currency is extremely easy to buy, much cheaper than PayPal, puts the power of commerce in the hands of people rather than middle men institutions like Amazon and PayPal

Great idea! Sell your own novellas from your own webside, (you are sure to get as many visitors as the Amazon Search engine would bring you), payable in cryptocurrencies, when I'm told the transaction fee for bitcoin is close to $20. You are either kidding or dreaming.

Hi Christine,
I enjoyed reading your posts on your experiences in indie publishing. May I ask; what were your marketing strategies and which ones do you think helped most?

Hello.
It's best not to lose hope in your work. When my sales went down I thought they would never be sold again. Then slowly they began to climb again. It's best to not place hope on sales, but that people will read your work.
I find that doing other things online brings exposure to my work. I use public profiles as my business card. I make sure I fill them up well with links to my work so that anyone can see what I'm doing. This works well for me.
