Same with me. I was selling 1-3 books a day, consistently, for over a month. My Report stopped reporting sales on August 5 and the Reports show -0- sales each day for the past 6 days...-0-! A nose dive like this doesn't make sense, since I'm using the same marketing tactics. Now, it could be that the morning of August 4 I flew out of state and am in Seattle Washington instead of in Ohio. When I get back to Ohio on August 11th and log in on my home server again, will the sales for the past 6 days suddenly pop up? I hope so, for going to consistent daily sales to instant zero doesn't seem right. Please advise me if I'm drawing a wrong conclusion. Thanks in advance.
Sorry this is happening to everyone, but I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I was getting worried that something wasn't right. I'm not a big seller as it is, but I still manage to get a few thousand page reads a month and a few sales. For the past 3 weeks maybe more it's been zip on everything. I've even done promotions that usually gives a little jump, but this time nothing. I hope it's a glitch, or maybe people preparing their kids for school and it picks up later.
I am only selling in the UK when I normally mainly sell in the USA and I am only selling books that I never normally sell and don't ever market. I have 1 KENP page counted on my (usually) most popular book. Otherwise nothing since July 23rd on KENP.
Same thing happened to me but not till Aug. 6th. I ran a kindle countdown during that time and listed my book on a few promotion sites. I usually sell 1-2 a day, I think my sales were counted, I sold 33 during the four days of promotions but my KENP went from 1500-2000 per day to 300-400 per day. I thought it would go up during a promotion, since it did the last two times I ran one, not down by that much. Hopefully all my sales counted, you have me wondering now since it seems with most of you post that your sales and KENP seem messed up. FIngers crossed it's a glitch and maybe some KENP may be added later, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Things seem a bit better today, KENP is at 500 this morning, at least that's a little more normal.
I have been in that choir for the month of August, but today I woke up to activity! I normally get 700-1000 reads per day; I had seven days straight of zero activity in August. Scary:( I'm hoping today was like breaking the seal!
In regards to my message above...
I had activity on Amazon.com in sales, and KENP Reads over the weekend. Nothing significant but better than seven days of nothing. It felt like dead air. With ten books out, I got used to daily activity, but this is a slow August. It seems as if no one is reading until the weekend according to my graphs. I hope things pick up. I'm sure things will pick up for all of us. Just keep writing:)

I'm happy for you. Unfortunately more dead than usual around here. This also reflects official statements on the problem. Just silence. Really mind-boggling actually. A few close publishing colleagues are reporting similar experiences.
I'm definitely seeing something amiss. Either no sales and no change in ranks for ages (which I wouldn't expect if not selling any, I'd expect rankings to drop) or my rankings climbing, but no sales registered, or sales showing up in the total month to date, but not on the graphs.
Yes I know, it makes no sense. I've gotten to a point where I'm seriously considering delaying or cancelling upcoming releases on Amazon. The broken stats and total absence of information tell me that I might basically be throwing new books directly in the bin by putting them out. It definitely happened with my latest release. It's getting expensive and very risky. But I guess it's even worse for publishers with a very limited economy who rely on this platform to work.
I am running a free promotion as an experiment. Tweeted it twice and shared on Facebook and Goodreads. So far, a few downloads in UK, Canada and Japan, nothing in the USA yet. Nothing other than a "page flip" so far this month. If nobody downloads from the USA I WILL be writing to support. I don't want to waste my time flogging a dead horse but having had two countdowns fail recently I am getting very suspicious that they are not recording anything.
Yeah, I think something is wrong with U.S. book sales. I've seen my sales rank jump because of Kindle Unlimited borrows in the U.S., but no book sales. My one book has been selling rather consistently, but I've gone 4 days now with no book sales. I suspect book sales are not being reported. How could it be so widespread and it not be a reporting issue? I hope our book sales are being accounted for somewhere and they fix any bug in reporting. This is driving me crazy. I've been obsessively monitoring the sale report. I hate losing out on book sales. July was a great month, and August started off good, and then everything just went down from there. To experiment I bought one of my books from Canada and it posted to my sales report. Maybe the U.S. site Amazon.com is not reporting sales?
