Hi. just wondering how everyone is doing? and to say hello. I had asked a question some time ago about editing and was getting all different answers.
What price per line is fair when getting a service to do it for you. Any help will be great.

What price is fair depends heavily on the work needed. Price is usually per word. For a 60,000 word novel, expect any legitimate price to range between
$800 and $1600. Historical novels where a bunch of fact-checking is involved would be even higher.

I charge 3.95 per page of about 240-260 words, or $29 per half-hour, whichever is less. And believe me, there've been works that I should have charged
39.50 per page (and still not felt satisfied about it).

This depends on what type of editing you need. Kboards has a Yellow Pages of editors you can search for to get a feel for price ranges.
