I already have an Amazon account. Should I create a new one to use for publishing my ebook?

If you haven't published anything under your customer account, there's nothing wrong with setting up an account just for publishing.

You can only have ONE publishing account per SSN/EIN.

I have a publishing account that is separate from my customer account.

I agree that a distinct account is possible, though I don't really see the benefit. Where I do see a benefit is having a separate account for this forum, assuming you don't want the world to know what you've published. We have heard, for example, from mothers who don't want their children to know they write naughty stuff, though in my experience most children could give their parents pointers on that.

While you can probably get away with two publishing accounts, one personal and the other corporate, I'd be careful about that. Amazon does not look kindly on self-pubbers with multiple accounts, and the penalty could be banishment to Ultima Thule.

Good luck! -- NJ
