I ordered paperbacks to my home address to distribute among friends etc. - they arrived but no sales on my account.
Also I made changes days prior to the version been ordered and nothing was changed.

Alternatively, if you placed your order through Amazon or another retail sales channel, there is a good chance that the books you received were stock copies which they have on hand from a previous order. In this case the royalty on the stock copies would have already been paid to you and therefore not reflect at this time and the changes you recently made would not reflect in the book because they were printed and provided prior to the changes being made. In fact the lack of changes being reflected seems to indicate that this is the case.

POD books are not stocked. If you really want to help people, don't post rubbish.

My titles are stocked through Amazon all the time as are those of many other authors that use POD distribution. Amazon will order stock copies of any title based on order history to ensure they can fulfill in a timely manner.

Absolute rubbish. POD is a production process, not a form of distribution. Copies are produced by contracted regional POD companies as ordered and are shipped by them as well. Get a clue, mate.

Ward, you may not realize this but I am one of the top forum support authors at Createspace and have plenty of experience in regards to POD print and distribution. Yes POD is a production process and services such as KDP print, Createspace and IS offer POD distribution, the distribution of books produced based on a POD process. Your assessment of how the process works is correct however Amazon does often stock copies of POD produced titles for various reasons. If sales are decent or there is a history of large orders, they will preorder stock copies in order to cut delivery and fulfillment time. In addition, cancelled and returned order will also often end up as stock copies used to fulfill the next order received.

Yes, you are absolutely brilliant. Don't know how I missed that. Well done, you.
