I know this problem has appeared before, but I am not finding solutions that work for me. I have one KDP account. I have cleared cookies. I can access reports, but I can't access my Bookshelf. Any suggestions?

It may be that the zon is doing maintenance or upgrades.
Keep trying.

Almost invariably, this happens because the publisher uses a different email log-in.

(Use CreateSpace for paperbacks; use KDP for ebooks.)

Good luck! -- NJ

Not in my case, however.

Sorry, I haven't come across this on the threads before. As Notjohn says, it's usually a case of two accounts. Probably one for the 'contact us' button.

Good luck. J

The OP said he could get to reports.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the "Contact Us" form, either. It just takes me back to my starting page.

Hi Robert

You mean the 'contact us' button at the bottom right of the page? It should open a new page altogether.

Good luck. J

Yes, I mean the "Contact Us" at the right-hand bottom of the page. It opens the landing page for KDP, the one with the login button and the video about KDP. If I simply type in the link for the contact page (https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishing/contact-us ) I also get take back to the landing page. If I click on the contact button on the landing page, I get sent back to the landing page. Things that "should" happen aren't happening. But thanks.

That sounds really bizarre.

Ok - four more suggestions...

My contact us page opens a new page at https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/contact-us You might want to try that?

Have you tried using a different browser? Firefox, maybe?

Have you tried the contact us button on the Author Central pages? They may be able to help you, or forward your problem on to someone who can.

Alternatively, you could try setting up a second account just so you can get to a working contact us button.

Sorry if you've already tried these, but I'm just thinking out loud.

Good luck. J

Thanks. Changing the browser didn't help. Using a different computer didn't help. Your link also took me back to the landing page for KDP. However, I was able to use the contact button from Author Central. That's at least a little progress. I'll let you all know what the eventual answer is.

As someone who's currently setting her next book up for publishing, (and updating all of the previous ten!) if my bookshelf suddenly disappeared, I'd be freaking out!

Good luck. J

Well, I don't freak out over anything. But I am doing a new book and have $1500 in advertising credits I can't spend because I can' put up the book.

Oh, you really should freak out occasionally, if only in private. It relieves monotony, gets those creative juices flowing and the adrenalin pumping! I hear caffeine has the same effect for some people, but I'm allergic! :(

As to the credits, it's probably not a bad thing you can't spend them at the moment. By the sound of things, every man and his dog had been given a bunch of credits to spend, and the market is being flooded with ridiculously high bids.

By next week, or the week after, all those credits will have been spent, and the bids will come down, and you'll get a far better return on your investment.

Hope it's all resolved soon. J

That's my take on the situation, too.

Oh--I won my cat's credits the other evening. He can't keep a straight whisker when he draws successfully to a flush.
