I accidentally made the mistake of charging my book as $18 dollars and I want to change it back to $15 but whenever I try to, it won't work at all!
What's going on? is there any way I can fix this mistake?

Maybe the size of the book doesn't warrant a lower price, per cost to produce it.

Is it an ebook or a print book? As Donna notes, there are minimum prices below which you cannot go. I'm assuming a print book, because pricing an ebook between $10 and $20 makes no sense.

KDP-print books seem to take a week or so for a price change.

Even in the case of a print book their will be a minimum allowed price, one where you receive 0.00 royalty because the book is set at the production+distribution price. Run the calculation based on page count and figure out the production cost plus the required distribution percentage and you will find the lowest price you are allowed to price the book at (then raise that price so you actually make some money)

it is a paperback book format, and I had it originally as $15 per book, and that seemed to be selling fine.
but i made a mistake in changing it to $18 and I'm not entirely sure why it's not changing back if the $15 was good to begin with?
