Format difference in same book

Hello all,
I need help with the display of my latest book - Deep Blue See. Downloaded samples are fine. When the ebook is downloaded, the text shows all flush left, making it very difficult to determine who's speaking. I've checked the proof and it is okay. The sample chapters are okay. Yet the downloaded book continues to format flush left. Chapter headings are ten lines or more above text.
Paperback copies are perfect.
How do I correct the copy for the ebook?

Well, you're obviously not formatting correctly (or maybe not at all). The default for a Kindle book is indented paragraphs and justified text, so you are somehow over-riding that. (The one exception is the Look Inside sample, where if you do not specify justified paragraphs, they will show as ragged right. The downloaded book however will be or should be justified.) You handle this with paragraph and heading Styles in Word, or in a style sheet if you're uploading html. See the third post on my blog.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook.)

Good luck! -- NJ
