I have observed discrepancies with the sales made. I have for example some friends who bought me the book on a soft cover, have reported that a particular day comes and a regret that it has already passed 3 or 4 days still does not reflect the sale in reports, why does this happen? Is it normal for sales to be lost on the report this way ????

If you've created your book on Create Space, you won't find the sales on kdp. Are you looking at the correct site? You should be looking at Create Space.

Also, paperback sales are reported when the book ships, so there may be a short delay.

Hope that helps. J

And be aware that friends are terrible liars.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook.)

Good luck! -- NJ
