Customer Reviews

Prospective customers value unbiased book reviews. You're welcome to encourage others to read your book and post their thoughts on its detail page, but please keep a few things in mind when doing this.

Free books. You may provide free or discounted copies of your books to readers, as long as you do not require a review in exchange, nor attempt to influence the review. Please see our Community Guidelines for information. Offering anything other than a free or discounted copy of the book—including gift cards—will invalidate a review, and we will have to remove it.   

Friends and family. Simply being friends or liked on a social media site will not get a review removed.  

Removals. We remove reviews if we unlink two titles that were incorrectly linked; the reviews will then appear only on the detail page of the book for which they were originally posted. We also remove reviews that violate our Community Guidelines. To protect the privacy of our customers, we do not share information about specific reviews with anyone other than the customer who posted the review. If a customer contacts you about their missing review, please ask them to write to community-help@amazon.com.     Customers can also remove their own reviews.    

Updated content and reviews. Customers may call attention to aspects of the book that you've since changed, which may make some content in earlier reviews irrelevant. But unless reviews violate our Community Guidelines, we don’t remove them. You might want to update your book in some of these cases. Please review the process to update your book and make updates available to customers.

If you believe a review violates our Community Guidelines, you can notify our moderation team be clicking “Report Abuse” at the end of the review, or by emailing community-help@amazon.com.  If a customer contacts you about reviews, please ask them to write to community-help@amazon.com so that we can help them directly.
