Nominate Your eBook for a Promotion (Beta)

You can nominate your eBooks to be included in Kindle Deals and Prime Reading promotional programs to reach new readers. To be eligible for Kindle Deals and/or Prime Reading, a title must be:

Requirements

  • An eBook
  • Is not erotic
  • Does not contain sexually explicit images or title language
  • Available for purchase in at least one marketplace where the primary language matches the language of the title
  • For Kindle Deals: Your title must be enrolled in the 70% royalty plan (US marketplace only)
  • For Prime Reading: Your title must be enrolled in KDP Select

Kindle Deals

Kindle Deals are limited-time discount deals offered on eBooks, lasting from one day up to multiple weeks. Customers will see both the regular price and the promotional price on the eBook's detail page.

Books enrolled in Kindle Deals may be eligible for featured placement in the Kindle store or additional email marketing. While the nomination program is in Beta, you will receive royalties on the discounted price for every sale during the deal according to your selected royalty plan.

We recommend nominating your most popular titles that have been available for at least 90 days, have not been on deal in the last 90 days, and are priced between 2.99 and 9.99.

Prime Reading

Prime Reading allows you to get your titles in front of Amazon’s most engaged readers. It gives Prime members access to a rotating selection of titles that they can download and read for free. Learn more about the readers’ experience with Prime Reading.

Prime reading is an invitation only promotional program for titles enrolled in KDP Select. Learn about how to enroll in KDP Select

Titles are typically enrolled in Prime Reading within two months of accepting your invitation, but may take longer. We’ll let you know via email once your title is enrolled and the promotional period starts.

Once enrolled, your book will remain available for regular sales and royalty earnings during your Prime Reading promotional period

How it works

You can nominate two eligible titles at a time for Kindle Deals and one eligible title at a time for Prime Reading. Nominations do not guarantee enrollment. Kindle Deals and Prime Reading have limited space and not all nominated titles will be selected to participate. If we select your title, we'll send you an email with the details and you can accept or decline the offer.

Kindle Deals and Prime Reading are available in the following marketplaces: amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.es, amazon.fr, amazon.it, amazon.in, amazon.br, amazon.co.jp, and amazon.com.au.

Participation details:

  • Expiration. Nominations expire after 90 days. If we don't contact you within the 90-day period, your title wasn't selected for a promotion.
  • Auto-renewal. You can choose to have the nomination auto-renew at the end of the 90-day period, or can choose a new title to nominate.
  • Duration. The duration of Kindle Deals and Prime Reading offers vary. Kindle Deals range from one day to multiple weeks and Prime Reading ranges from 90 to 180 days.
  • Selection. If we select your title, we'll send you an email with the details of the offer within the 90-day nomination period. However, program enrollment may occur outside of the 90-day nomination period.
  • Cancellation. Nominations cannot be cancelled. If your book is invited to participate in Prime Reading or Kindle Deals during this time, you will have the opportunity to decline the offer. If you would like to nominate a different book after the nomination expires, we recommend checking that this recommendation is not set to auto-renew.
We consider a number of factors when selecting titles for Kindle Deals and Prime Reading, including nominations and reader interest. Signals of reader interest include reviews, sales, broad appeal, and timeliness (summer reading, holidays, etc.).
