All images should be sized at 100%, flattened to one layer and inserted into your manuscript file at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. While we recommend 300 DPI, Print Previewer will notify you if your book’s images are less than 200 DPI.
To determine the cause of low-resolution images in your files, we recommend checking the following:
- Ensure all scanned images are scanned at high-resolution (300 DPI-Dots Per Inch)
- All images should be scaled at 100% (If an image is re-sized to be larger, then the resolution decreases)
- Check the distiller settings to ensure the compression settings are set to ‘bicubic down sampling’ and 300 DPI
