KDP supports publishing in multiple languages to help authors reach readers worldwide. Through KDP, you can publish paperbacks in Hebrew, and Yiddish, eBooks in Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian, and hardcover books in Hebrew, and Yiddish (left-to-right format only). Each format and language has specific requirements to ensure the best possible publishing experience.

What you should know about paperbacks and hardcovers:

• Hardcover publishing for Hebrew and Yiddish in right-to-left (RTL) isn't currently available.
• The standard color option is not available for these languages. 
• Hebrew and Yiddish paperbacks are not currently eligible for Expanded Distribution.
• Upload your interior as a PDF file. We don’t support other file types for Hebrew and Yiddish.
• Upload your cover as a PDF file. Cover Creator is not available for Hebrew and Yiddish.

Submitting your Hebrew and Yiddish interior and cover

Hebrew and Yiddish are typically RTL languages. Books will be rejected if the file does not match the reading direction selected during setup.

When submitting your interior as a PDF file, confirm your interior is set to RTL:

1. Go to the File tab.
2. Choose Options, and click Language.
3. In the "Choose Editing Languages" section, add either Hebrew or Yiddish.
4. Click Add.

Your interior PDF file should be uploaded starting with page 1. Choose Hebrew or Yiddish from the Language menu on the Paperback Details page when setting up your paperback.

When submitting your PDF cover file as RTL, you must upload the cover PDF with the front cover placed to the left of the spine and the back cover to the right of the spine.

What you should know about eBooks:

• Yiddish isn't currently available for eBook publishing.
• Kindle for Web does not support right-to-left languages (Arabic/Hebrew/Persian).
• X-Ray, WordWise, and page numbers are not available for these languages.
• Upload your manuscript in .doc/docx or EPUB format.
• For Persian eBooks: Character spacing is not supported, so manuscripts should be formatted without relying on character spacing.

Submitting your Hebrew and Persian manuscripts:

1. Select your language (Arabic, Hebrew, or Persian) from the language menu during title setup.
2. Enter your book details, such as title, author name, etc.
3. Upload your manuscript in .doc/docx or EPUB format. It must be formatted to match the reading direction.
4. Upload a cover image matching the reading direction. Use the ‘Previewer’ for file or formatting issues.

Please note some features like X-Ray, WordWise, and page numbers are not available for these languages.
