Hebrew and Yiddish
You can publish paperbacks through KDP in Hebrew and Yiddish, two of the most widespread right-to-left (RTL) modern writing systems.
When submitting your interior as a PDF file, confirm your interior is set to RTL:
When submitting your PDF cover file as RTL, you must upload the cover PDF with the front cover placed to the left of the spine and the back cover to the right of the spine.
What you should know
- eBook publishing for Hebrew and Yiddish isn't currently available.
- Hebrew and Yiddish paperbacks are not currently eligible for Expanded Distribution.
- Upload your interior as a PDF file. We don’t support other file types for Hebrew and Yiddish.
- Upload your cover as a PDF file. Cover Creator is not available for Hebrew and Yiddish.
Submitting your Hebrew and Yiddish interior and cover
Hebrew and Yiddish are typically RTL languages. Books will be rejected if the file does not match the page-turn direction selected during setup.When submitting your interior as a PDF file, confirm your interior is set to RTL:
- Go to the File tab.
- Choose Options, and click Language.
- In the "Choose Editing Languages" section, add either Hebrew or Yiddish.
- Click Add.
When submitting your PDF cover file as RTL, you must upload the cover PDF with the front cover placed to the left of the spine and the back cover to the right of the spine.
