Editing Your Ad

As long as your ad is still delivering, you can edit the budget, cost-per-click (CPC), and the duration.

Additionally, depending on the type of ad, you can:
  • Add new keywords and pause keywords for Sponsored Products ads.
  • Add new products or delete products for Product Display ads.

To edit your campaign settings:

  1. Log in to your Amazon Marketing Services account with your KDP credentials
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the campaign name
  3. Click "Edit" next to the field you want to update
  4. Click "Save"

Your new campaign will update immediately. However, ad data such as clicks, impressions, and sales may take up to 14 days to show in your reports.

Edits to your book while an ad is live

While your ad is live, you can publish changes to your book, such as price and metadata updates. These changes may not be reflected in your ad for up to three days.

For cover updates, you'll need to create a new campaign for the updated cover to display in your ad.

Terminate an ad

To terminate an ad that's already scheduled:
  1. Go to your Amazon Marketing Services account: https://ams.amazon.com
  2. Sign in with your KDP email and password
  3. Click the drop-down next to the campaign name you wish to pause
  4. Select "Terminate"

You can't restart a terminated ad. You'll need to create a new ad and enter a new credit card for that campaign.
