Frequently asked questions
What is bleed?
Bleed is a page size and margin increase of 0.125" (3 mm) beyond the final trim size from the top, bottom, and outer edges of your manuscript. Bleed allows content like images and illustrations to extend to the edge of the page. Content can shift when your book is trimmed. Due to this shift, a white line may be present at the edge of the page if you don't add bleed.
