Upload final files for a Kindle eBook pre-order

To upload your Kindle pre-order eBook's final version for publication:
  1. Go to your Bookshelf: https://kdp.amazon.com/bookshelf
  2. Click on the ellipsis button ("...") under the Book Actions menu next to the eBook you want to update and select "Edit Details."
  3. On the "Your Book" page, under Step 6, "Upload Your Book File,"  click "Upload a different file."
  4. Browse to your final content file and select it.
  5. Once your eBook finishes converting successfully, click "Save and Continue."
  6. Remember to click "Submit for pre-order."

If the file size of your manuscript increases, you may be required to increase your list price in accordance with our List Price Requirements.

Warning:Your final version must be uploaded and republished at least 3 days (72 hours) before the release date. Delivering your eBook on schedule is required for you to retain access to pre-order. You will not be able to update your eBook 3 days (72 hours) before the release date. If you delay or cancel a pre-order eBook, you will be unable to list any eBook for pre-order for one year.

To help you keep track of the deadlines noted above, you'll see a timer at the top of the book's setup page, counting down the days remaining before your eBook is due.
