The Kindle Store requires approximately 24 hours to update English titles and 2-3 business days for titles in other languages.

Details you can edit after publishing

Language
Choose your book's primary language. To view a list of the languages we currently support, see our Supported Languages Help page.

Book Title
Enter the title of your book here as it will appear on the book cover.

Series Name
Enter your series name if your book is part of a series. Enter only the name of the series. Do not add individual book titles or series numbers in the Series name field, and make sure you use the same series name for all the books in your series.

Series Bundles
For books in a series with the same series name, we'll create a Series Bundle by series numbers. Series Bundles make it easier for customers to see and buy all books in an ordered series from the same page. Books without a series number will not appear on the Series Bundle page, so make sure to number your books in the order you want them listed.

Series Bundles are available on a limited basis on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, and Amazon.co.jp (we'll let you know when they're more widely available). At this time, we support ordered Series Bundles only, which means books must be related clearly through their titles and content.

Edition Number
The edition number tells readers whether the book is an original version or an updated version. If the book was previously published and the version you are publishing contains significant changes, it is considered a new edition and should be published as a new book in your account. If you have made minor changes, it would be considered the same edition and does not require an update.

Book Author (required)
Enter the name of the primary contributor to your book.

Contributors
Enter the names of the people who contributed to your book, including additional authors, editors, illustrators, and translators. If you participate in Author Central, changes to your main author name or description made through your KDP Bookshelf will update automatically on Author Central within 24 hours. However, changes made to author or product descriptions only on Author Central will not automatically update back to KDP and require a separate update via your Bookshelf.

Description
Like the copy on the inside flap of a hardcover book, the description tells readers a bit about your book. You can enter a description between 30 and 4000 characters in length. Note: The book description on your title's detail page may be delayed but should appear within 72 hours.

Verify Your Publishing Rights
If your title is a Public Domain book, check This book is a public domain work. If the publishing rights to your title are privately held, check I own the copyright and I hold the necessary publishing rights. We may refuse public domain content that is already available through our program. See our Content Guidelines for more about our public domain policy.

Search Keywords
Enter 5-7 descriptive keywords to help readers find your book.

Categories
Add categories to help interested readers find your book. Choose from dozens of categories, from Antiques to True Crime and everything in between. Each category also contains subcategories to further classify your content.

To provide an effective browsing experience for customers, the number of categories you can select is limited to 2 browse categories. In the past, publishers could select up to 5 browse categories. Books previously published with 5 browse categories will keep their category assignments. To learn more about selecting categories for your book, visit our Browse Categories Help page.

ISBN
If you have purchased an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) for your eBook, enter it here. ISBNs for print editions should not be entered in this field.

Publisher
Enter the publisher name you want listed on your book's detail page. This can be an individual or company name.

Territories
If you hold worldwide rights for your book, select the Worldwide Rights option. This enables Amazon to make your book available for sale worldwide.

If you don't hold worldwide rights to sell and distribute your title, you must indicate the territories in which you hold rights. If you are publishing a public domain title, keep in mind that the duration of copyright varies between countries, so ensure you set your territory rights to only include those territories where you have determined the book is in the public domain.

Royalty Option
For complete information on royalty options, see our Pricing Page and Terms and Conditions.

List Price
For complete information on pricing, visit our Pricing Page, Terms and Conditions, and List Price Requirements Help pages.

Details you cannot edit after publishing

Publication Date
The Kindle Store will automatically enter the date your book is first published through Kindle Direct Publishing. You cannot change the publication date after you publish. However, if you're making significant changes to your book content and would like the publication date to reflect the date of the updated publication, you can resubmit your revised content as a new book.

Your publication date is not the same as your release date. You can modify your release date if you choose to make new books available for pre-order in Kindle Stores worldwide. Setting up a pre-order allows customers to order your book as early as 90 days before release date. Visit our Kindle pre-order page for more information about setting up a pre-order.
