After you publish, you can view your book’s product detail page to see how it appears to customers in the Amazon Store.

View your book’s detail page from your Bookshelf

The most reliable way to reach your book’s detail page is directly from your Bookshelf. This works for every live book, so you don’t have to search the Amazon Store to find it.

1. Go to your Bookshelf.
2. Find the book you want to view.
3. Next to the format (Kindle eBook, Paperback, or Hardcover), select View on Amazon.
4. Select a marketplace. Your book’s product detail page opens in that marketplace.

If your book isn't showing in search results

Below are a few reasons your book might not appear when you search the Amazon Store. Review the search tips below, and use the steps above to reach your detail page directly in the meantime.

• Your book was published or republished recently. It can take up to 72 hours after publishing or republishing for your book to appear in search results.
• Your book contains sexually explicit images or a sexually explicit title.
• Books containing sexually explicit images or titles will not surface in general product searches. This is to provide an appropriate shopping experience for all customers.

Search tips

If your book is eligible for search but you still can’t find it, these tips can help:

• Clear your web browser's cookies and cache, and use incognito.
• Select 'Books' or 'Kindle Store' as the product department from the drop-down menu next to the search box
• For paperbacks and hardcover books, choose 'Books'
• For eBooks, choose 'Kindle Store'
• Refine search results by selecting the desired features from the left navigation in your web browser.
• Ensure your book title is no more than 200 characters. Book titles more than 200 characters will not display in search results on Amazon.
• Consider adding or updating your keywords, or choose the appropriate categories, to help readers find your book in search results.

Note: Search results are dynamic and can fluctuate on Amazon's homepage. Results from search are determined by information that is not always visible on the search results page, such as keywords, book details, and the text of each book.

If a book is on the first page of search results today, there's no guarantee that the same book will appear on the first page tomorrow. Search results will likely change, and your book may sometimes appear in places you don't expect.
