When customers shop on Amazon, we want to help them easily find books to purchase. Some customers know exactly which book they want and others need help making a choice.
Note: Neither Amazon nor KDP can guarantee that your book will display near the top of search results when finding your book. The order of the items that appear are determined automatically depending on various factors resulting in constant changes to what shows up when searching on our website.
While navigating search on Amazon’s homepage, we attempt to find the most relevant search results across different categories. For example, if you attempt to search for your book using the “All” departments in the main search bar, you’ll see a combination of products across all Amazon departments.
To find the most relevant book or product, each department has customized options to search and browse on Amazon. If you use the search terms “kitchen Spanish food” using the “All” departments, you will see a combination of products across all Amazon departments. However, if you do the same search using either the Books or the Kindle Store departments, you will see more relevant search results displayed for books.
Search results can be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the following:- Past sales history
- Availability
- Length of time the item has been listed on our website
- Popularity
