KDP supports a variety of formats. Below, you’ll find information about our recommended and most commonly used formats.
The table above is a list of our suggested and most commonly used formats. Additional accepted formats included but aren't limited to the following:

| Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX) | Most DOC/DOCX files convert well to eBooks. However, some files with complex formatting may not convert as well.

| Kindle Package Format (KPF) | Using KPF files allows your eBook to easily format and fit all Kindle devices. It’s a go-to method for avoiding any formatting issues.
You can create a KPF file using Kindle Create. What are the benefits of using Kindle Create?
If you want to change from reflowable to Print Replica or vice versa, you can unpublish the previous version and then add it as a new title using the desired format. |

| EPUB | We support books in EPUB format that meet the specifications outlined in the Kindle Publishing Guidelines. | Use any third-party tool available on the internet to create your EPUB file.
We recommend validating the file with Kindle Previewer before you upload your book. |

| MOBI | We support fixed format books in MOBI that meet the specifications outlined in the Kindle Publishing Guidelines.
For reflowable eBooks, upload a EPUB, DOCX, or KPF file instead. Note: (.prc) files created with the legacy program MobiPocket Creator are no longer supported. |
Use any third-party tool available on the internet to create your MOBI file.

- Plain Text (TXT)
- Adobe PDF (PDF) Note: We only support PDF files in the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Galician, and Basque.

Title creation limit
To ensure a positive customer experience, we limit the number of titles you can create at the same time and within a specific period of time. If you expect to regularly create a large number of titles, please contact us to inquire about an exception.
