Make sure your web browser is updated

Sometimes when you're trying to get something done on the Kindle Direct Publishing website, you may have trouble getting a page to finish loading, or saving. We have some general troubleshooting tips for determining whether these problems are happening on the website side, or with your computer. The first source to eliminate is on the computer side.
  • Clear your cache.
  • Delete your cookies.
The steps for doing both of these things are different for every web browser. Please check your browser's Help files for more information.

Next, make sure you're using an up to date version of your web browser. Our website supports recent versions of the four most-common web browsers in use today. Each browser's Help documentation will tell you which version you're using, and offer more information about getting an updated version. Please check there to find out whether you're using a current version. Here are the versions we currently support:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10 and higher
  • Apple Safari version 5.1.9 and higher
  • Mozilla Firefox version 24 and higher
  • Google Chrome version 32 and higher
